What is VCI(Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) ?
1. The reason to generate the rust.
The rust of metal is extremely natural. The corrosion is the electric and chemical progress. The minimum electrolyte which is remained on the surface of not protective metal causes moving cathode from anode. This is generating and maintaining the rust.

2. The reason not to generate rust by VCI
VCI chemical is evaporated in the air, shaped the co-combination with metal corrosive factor, and then prevent the rust as stopping the reaction of water & oxygen.

3. Traditional anti-corrosive method
The anti-corrosive method before VCI was using the direct contact of anti-corrosive material to metal. It was planned to protect the rust after contacting the surface of metal by the kinds of oil like anti-corrosive crease, anti-corrosive oil, anti-corrosive oiled paper etc. Or it was mainly the method to isolate the water in the air after inserted desiccant and packed by water-proof or damp-proof paper etc. But the oil contacting anti-corrosive method have the final defect such as easy change of oil, environment pollution possibility and the process of removal oil. The water-proof and removal damp method is extremely negative anti-corrosive method. So, it is difficult to expect the effectiveness of long term storage in case of sea-water or much damp.
